OOC: Thanks for the support, guys :) actually the original GameFAQs RPG went over a thousand posts and then into a second topic after the first was closed. But this is one of the longer running stories which is currently active.

I've been reading this, and I am very aggrivated by all these posts that are completely pointless. Your posts seem to only annoy people, which violates rule 6 of the ToS. <While Kaeden had tried to keep out of melee combat with the Dark Solar Mage, the mage managed to advance up close to Kaeden again. Kaeden holds up his swords defensively, and manages to block several attacks from the Dark Solar Mage's sabre, but a diagonal chop manages to shred through several layers of skin on Kaeden's left shoulder. As soon as the Dark Solar Mage's attack finishes, the Kaeden notices the Dark Solar Mage is a little off balance and leaps forward at him, swinging both swords horizontally away from each other. Both swords slam hard on the Dark Solar Mage's magic barrier, but fail to get through.> Kaeden: "I have little chance as long as that barrier is up..." <Kaeden waits for himself to regain enough harnessing energy to cast another burn spell.> --- Silent Astronomer/Astrologist of the SoI. Icefall moves to slash at her opponent, but he dodges aside and cuts near her throat. She makes a low kick to his wounded leg, tripping him. When he stands again, a black orb of energy is swirling in his left hand. Grinning, he throws it at her. It hits her in the face, burning her eyes and blinding her. Icefall swings wildly at her attacker for a moment then calms down some. Using her mage sight, she sees the dark solar mage preparing another black orb.

<Kaeden quickly looks up into the sky for as short a moment as he can, and can not find a red light in the sky.> ::Blast, did Yavash move out of view? I will try Xibar.:: <Kaeden begins chanting, not knowing if Xibar is in the sky, but hoping that it is.> Kaeden: "Mystic blue light of Xibar, unleash thy wrath apon those who stand against me! A black wall of energy slams into Kaeden, heating his body and knocking him down, slightly stunning him. The Dark Solar Mage stands above him and readies his sabre, but Kaeden recovers and manages to stop the sabre before it pierces Kaeden's chest. Kaeden kicks at the Dark Solar Mage's stomach, but the magic shield blocks it once more. Kaeden continues holding the sabre away from himself, then suddenly stops holding it back and rolls backwards, barely avoiding the blade.
