| Icefall pushes back a stray bit of hair from her face as Kaeden walks up the steps and comes into view. She sets down her small telescope and stands to welcome the moon mage. I'm glad that you were able to return. Please dont mind the mess. Move any papers you need to and find a place to sit. Icefall gestures towards the chairs covered in maps and old books. She then takes back her seat and scribbles a few notes into a small, beat-up journal. |

| Icefall returns Kaeden's smile but then becomes serious. Well, things are not looking any better. The stars continue to move around, meanwhile, all journeymen level star mages have gone on a killing spree. I am just thankful that the solar mages and senior star mages were able to get away before they got killed. A baby owlette waddles toward where Icefall and Kaeden are seated. It squeaks and makes half-hearted sounds. Icefall lowers her arm and the baby hops onto it. Its sharp talons pierce her skin, but she doesnt seem to notice. She scratches it's head and then looks at Kaeden. I also had Nalyr move his family here into the tower part of the observatory until this all gets settled. With the rouge journeymen out there, it isn't safe for anyone out there, not even the wildlife. |

| seemly from nowhere, a figure unbeknownst to icefall and her company falls to the ground. barely keeping himself from slipping on the discarded papers. he glances up as his sword is drawn so fast it just appears in his hand. "who? oh, i didn't expect anyone to be here at this time of night. you two are, um, subjects icefall and kaeden, correct?" his eyes smile as he resheaths his sword. "i have felt your auras before. impressive thread you have here icefall. i need to find some information on the cetrans and the previous jaterras, where is your library?" **silence** --- fear not the darkness. fear that which the darkness hides. |

| Icefall turns to face the stranger, the owl on her arm begins to squack. Icefall silences the bird and then returns her attention to the newcomer. The library is downstairs, the second door from the left. Feel free to search any of my history books. I hope that you find the information that you are looking for. |

| After the stranger leaves, Icefall returns her attention to Kaeden. I'm sorry. I haven't formally introduced you to Nalyr and his family, have I? With her free hand, Icefall gives a short whistle. Two large white owls begin to fly towards the tower from two directions. One is followed by two smaller owls. All four take rest on the railing of the tower, but the two small ones quickly hop off and begin to waddle around on the floor. Kaeden, this is Nalyr and his wife, Kya. Their children are Elswyth, Devon, and the little one on my arm here is Neriya. The baby owls each chirp and hoot at hearing their names. Everyone, this is Kaeden, a moon mage. |

| Icefall allows Neriya to hop off her arm and wander with her siblings. No marks can be seen from where the owl had been on her arm. Nalyr and i have known each other for many years. Many mages have been known to bond with certain animals to strengthen their ablilities. Usually they bond after the mage has reached wizard level. This is to ensure not only the saftey of the mage, but also to make sure that the animal will be well taken care of and treated properly. My bonding with Nalyr was a little different though. Actually I bonded with him before I even decided to study magic. Elswyth walks over to Kaeden and begins to beg for attention and a treat. Icefall gently pushes the owl away, while handing it a sweet. |
