A bit of movement overhead causes Icefall to stop for a moment. Up above, the thick tree canopy blocks out a majority of light, creating only shadows in the branches. A figure moves and dives down at Icefall. She stands her ground and throws out her right arm for Nalyr to land on. She scratches his head but then begins to scold him. What are you doing here? I told you to stay at the observatory with your family. Nalyr replies and Icefall hardens her look. I'll be fine on my own. You worry about me too much, I swear. You should worry more about your own children than me. The owl gives some soft cooing sounds. Icefall brings her arm in close to her chest and places her head next to Nalyr's. Yes, yes, I know. She tosses her arm up and Nalyr flys back up into the trees and dissapears. Go to your family, dear friend. I'll be fine. Icefall resumes her treck through the rough forest.

Icefall continues in the directon of where the solar mages are. The dark forest eventually opened up into a flat terrian, where she is now. Few trees or other plants grow in the hard, dry soil. While walking, Icefall munches on a few berries from one of her pouches. I had best try to get through this area as quickly as possible. Spending the night out here without any form of shelter is not an option. Boy, it sure is humid today. She wipes a bit of sweat from her forehead. Maybe it will rain later tonight. I hope it does.

As night begins to decend, thick, heavy clouds roll in, obscuring the chaos above and blocking out the moonlight. Icefall's vision is unhindered by the darkness, but she hesitantly lights a torch for peace of mind. Off in the distance, she can hear the sad cries of a wolf pack.

Sometime later, as the torch begins to die down, big, fat raindrops begin to hit the dry earth. The torch spits and hisses before being doused out by the pouring rain. Icefall tosses the torch behind her as she continues to walk on. The heavy rain soaks into her, but she tries to ignore it and keep moving.
