(Kssarh: "Hurry up and finish your conversation, you have alot of unfinished work to do!" Kaeden: "I'm talking with Icefall right now, stop bothering me!" Kssarh: "Does it sound like I care? If you don't wrap it up right now you'll be mopping the floors, too!" Kaeden: "Alright, alright, I'm coming!") Kaeden: "I wish I could stay a bit longer, but I have to go again. It was nice meeting Nalyr and his family. I should be here tomorrow. Goodbye, Icefall." <Kaeden walks out, heading away from the observatory.> --- Silent Astronomer/Astrologist of the SoI. Icefall nods and watches the mage leave. I hope to see you tomorrow as well. She watches him walk off into the distance, until he is just another speck on the horizon. Well I'm glad that you were all introduced finally. All three children begin to beg for sweets. Icefall gives each owlette a stern look, to which the children fuss and then walk off. Greedly little ones, aren't they? Icefall grins at Nalyr playfully. The owl leaps up and then takes his place on her arm. |

Icefall closes her eyes and gently leans her head against Nalyr as she moves her arm in closer to herself. Yes, I still recall how we first met, Nalyr. You know that I could never forget something like that. Nalyr returns to perch next to his wife. Icefall smiles at the family of owls and then stands up. Well I'm going downstairs to do some studying with the big telescope in the main hall. You will be safe here, my friends. Icefall gathers up her papers and makes her way downstairs. |

<Kaeden walks up towards the observatory, and gazes once more at it.> Kaeden: "Not like the one back home, but still good. But this one has something that the other one doesn't." <Kaeden walks in, and sees Icefall in the main hall.> Kaeden: "Hello, Icefall. Anything happening?" --- Silent Astronomer/Astrologist of the SoI. As of now, I am but a student. But in the future... |

Icefall looks up from her telescope. The papers she had brought down are now in neat piles on a small table next to the telescope. Its pretty much more of the same. The stars are moving around more and more often now. I saw the star Asja move three times in a two hour period. Now it isn't impossible for solar mages to do star movements, but it isn't easy for them either. With the way the stars are now, I'd have to assume that the dark mages are now getting help, most likely from the rouge star journeymen. The journeymen are my main concern right now. People in the areas surrounding the solar mages' last camp need to be warned. There is no telling what these chaotic mages will do. They may not be fully trained, but they can still do a lot of damage. I think that the dark mages may have gotten ahold of some to help them as well. |

Kaeden: "So the journeymen probably haven't gone insane, they are just under a mind controlling spell? Then I know of little I can do. I am only a student. If I were to visibly become an enemy of the dark solar mages, they could easily take my mind. Then who knows what they would make me do." --- Silent Astronomer/Astrologist of the SoI. No, I do not think that the journeymen are under a mind controll spell. With star mages at journeymen level, they are just beginning to come into their powers. They are taught the basic spells and so forth, but their power is allowed to grow without shielding. Shielding is taught at the next level up so that they grow acoustomed to drawing power from the stars. At the next level, they are taught to block out the influences of the stars and how to use conservation when drawing power. I was never a big fan of this way of teaching, but thats the way it is done here. With the stars moving, their anger and confusion is cast down upon those who are sensitve to it. Higher level mages who are able to shield can not be affected by it, unless they drop their sheilds. Unfortunately, the journeymen have no such protection. So they are, in a sense, acting out what the stars feel. In this confusion, some dark mages probably ran into a few journeymen and cast a control spell them. At least, that is what I am assuming. |

Kaeden: "Hmm... So they are acting to resemble the mood of the stars... Well what can we do? I see no possibilities..." --- Silent Astronomer/Astrologist of the SoI. As of now, I am but a student. But in the future... |

The solar mages don't know everything about the star mages and vice versa. The dark ones think that by moving the stars around, that they will eventually affect the higher mages as well, which they wont unless we let down our shields. They are trying to separate us and cut down our numbers, which is unfortunately working. We first need to stop the journeymen from hurting any other people, or themselves. There is a way to do this, but I'll need to get in contact with the other adept star mages and see if they agree with me. Icefall frowns slightly as she tries to plan out what to do about the journeymen. |

Kaeden: "Hmm... But we would have to do quite a bit of searching to find the adepts. There were no hints on the location of them in the note Nalyr found. But where would be the most likely place they would go?" --- Silent Astronomer/Astrologist of the SoI. As of now, I am but a student. But in the future... |
