I hope that you will not get in trouble or anything with your teacher.

Icefall takes notices some journeymen trying to scale the tower. She laughs and directs Kaeden to watch them.

This will only take a second.

Icefall strengthens a few spells on the building to prevent climbing. The journeymen on the walls begin to fall off one, by one. Afterwards, she retakes her seat and smiles at Kaeden.

I'm sorry about you being trapped here. I dont want you to get in trouble or anything.

Kaeden: "Likely, I will be doing double the work for the next week when I get back. But I'm fine staying here, really."

I'm sorry to hear that. well we better do something about these journeymen as soon as possible then. Unfortunately, we just can't go out and walk to Terferi and the other mages now.

Icefall takes out a roll that was wrapped up and stuffed in her pocket. She breaks it in half and offers Kaeden some. As she eats, she watches the premages below.

<Kaeden accepts the half-roll Icefall gives him.>
Kaeden: "Thank you." <Kaeden eats it slowly while watching the journeymen try and break through one of the barriers.>

I think that they are drawn to anything of similar power to their own. Maybe if we can figure out a decoy of sorts, the journeymen will leave long enough that i can reach Teferi. I'll need at least 3 days to reach him and back, if they already haven't moved camp yet.

Icefall finishes off her half of the roll and brushes her hands against her jacket to get rid of the crumbs.

<Kaeden finishes his roll before speaking.>
Kaeden: "My magic is likely similar to theirs, but I do not know if it would be similar enough to lure them away from the observatory..."

I don't want you going out of your way or anything. There are some options available right now. I could place a beacon of sorts on Nalyr, so the journeymen would follow him while i try to mask my own power and escape. Can you think of any others?
From: Kaeden | Posted: 6/7/00 1:04:48 AM
<Kaeden ponders.>
Kaeden: "I could distract them long enough for us to get out and get a good head start, under one condition. Are the journeymen crazy, and have lost all clear thought, or can they still think through situations?"

*walks up*
Hi. Thank you for the meal Icefall.
*thinks for a moment*
maybe...nope it probably wouldn't work.
*sighs*

They most likely still have some clear thoughts. You saw how they tried to climb the tower after figuring out that the door was locked by magic.
