Dissius' thoughts rage as he slips closer to the rip trying to get Leon to safety. As the mana becomes poisonous the rune on his hand pulses violently. Girthang starts to pulse as well

Girthang: ''Dissius do not let the rune take control I have only seen it once with its last master and it killed him before me. His fragile body could not contain the power for he was a frail old man when he obtained the rune, you may live but you will most certainly have no control of your actions. I implore you to grab that man and release the mana energy before it takes control!''

Dissius: You are asking me to go commit suicide? If I move any more I'll be sucked into that rip!

Girthang: ''You don't have any other choice my master we both and that man will be lost if you do not act now!

Plunged into darkness, Icefall takes a look back at where she came from. Nothing of the camp or mountainside can be seen. She turns back to continue moving forward, deeper into the void. With each step, part of her mind screams to turn back, but she knows it is too late to flee and that it would be pointless to do so. In the darkness, Icefall can sense a deep power, tainted, and dark as the rift itself. The source moves about the darkness, as if searching for someone or something. Icefall holds tightly to her gathered energy, as does Nalyr. Nalyr an herself keep in contact by only mindspeech now as words would never carry in the emptiness.

We must keep firm belief in our existance as long as possible, or else the rip will destroy us.

Icefall begins to move instinctively towards the dark power.

Those last words of Girthang swept to fro within Dissius' mind, like an unending tide of the ocean. He could not move for it was not only the void that was preventing him it was the rune, during the brief period that Girthang talked to him the rune stopped pulsing and became a ceaseless glow. That moment the glow enveloped Dissius' body

What's this!?...................

With that Dissius succumbed to the rune, unable to force its power back. Soon the light vanishes and Dissius is standing not moving but staring into the void. A smile is seen upon his face, its meaning cannot be described. He moves toward Leon who is still grasping the stave. Within a step Dissius extends his arm to where Leon could grab it. He stands there with arm extended and fist open making motions for Leon to take hold

Girthang: ''Master??? Finish it!! Grab his arm and release the energy unto the ground!!''

Girthangs words echo into the void, no answer from his master. Dissius unsheathes Girthang and jams it into the ground, then he grabs Leon's arm. He gently pulls Girthang from the ground and points it towards the ground. All the mana that was stored in Dissius' body makes its way to the tip of the sword, gathering glowing green and blue

<Kaeden thrashed about wildly within the void, screams of agony muted by the lack of atmosphere. His lungs burned as they needed air more and more to continue to function. His life flashes before his eyes as far back as he can remember.>

<Kaeden is seen as but a child, his face in a book. He looks very weary.> ::I was raised by my grandfather, Jerinoth... His wife had died a natural death three years before then. He was always filling my days with learning of the nature of magic.::

<Kaeden is now seen a little bit older, looking up at his grandfather with a questioning look on his face.> ::I remember this moment quite vividly... Jerinoth was such a wise man.::
Kaeden: ''Grandfather... Why do I not have any parents?'' <Jerinoth stays silent for a moment, before picking up a large pack completely filled with varying magical charms and runes, and holds it up to Kaeden.>
Jerinoth: ''Kaeden... Hold this.'' <Kaeden grabs the pack, but it is far too heavy for him to hold, making him quickly struggle to hand it back to his grandfather.>
Kaeden: ''It is too heavy...''
Jerinoth: ''When you grow older, you will be strong enough to hold this pack. It is the same in the terms of knowledge. As of now knowing what had happened to your parents would be far too heavy for you, but eventually you will be ''Strong'' enough to know.'' ::I continued my schooling of magic. Little changed for me until I was sixteen...::

<Jerinoth faces his final moments. Kaeden, now as an adolescent, is on his knees at the side of his grandfather's bed.>
Jerinoth: ''I must tell you what happened to your parents... Kaeden, your father.... Was an evil man. He used your innocent mother to bear you as a child... Then killed her and ran off with you, for unimaginable purposes, I assume... I chased him, hoping to avenge my daughter's death at the hands of this man... I can not even bear to say his name. I finally found him, and fought him... He eventually ran, and I wanted to chase him, but he had left you, Kaeden... I could not let the son of my daughter be left to die, so I stopped the pursuit and devoted my time to raising you.'' <Kaeden was shocked to hear such a story. He had never imagined someone having such horrible intentions and little respect for human life.>
Kaeden: ''How... How could this be true?''
Jerinoth: ''It is true, Kaeden... Far too true. But I have one request.... Join the Moon Mage guild, Kaeden. You are now old enough to be accepted in. However, you must solve the puzzle of the guild in order to get in... It was created to prevent all the fools with large dreams who could never live up to them from those with true potential.''
Kaeden: ''I will... But what is my father's name? You must tell me!'' ::But I asked too late. He was not able to hold on any longer, and passed away. I was now alone, with little knowledge of the outside world due to my sheltered life, and no knowledge of my father, who seems to want me for some purpose.::

<Kaeden is now seen sitting in a chair not saying a word, as a stern middle aged man seems to be yelling at him and pacing.> ::I solved the puzzle of the Guild, which ended in a way to teleport to the third floor of the observatory, where I met the current Guildmaster, Kssarh... He was a man who could sometimes be considered insane. Though he always seemed to despise me and be angry with me, I soon learned he was this way with all of the new Moon Mages, and his yelling was actually his normal tone.::

<Kaeden is now looking through a telescope, when he notices a barely visible blue dot...> ::Little did I know that this one moment set into motion everything for me that would lead to my death is this void... I could not stop wondering what it was. I asked Kssarh about it, and while it took quite some effort to get him to come look at it through the telescope, he was as well puzzled about it. But he told me to forget about it, and get back to work. I did not. Over the next several weeks, I continued to bring it up, mentioning how much I want to discover what it is. Kssarh steadily grew more aggrivated with me, but he too started to be noticeably pondering it... Eventually, one day, he told me what it was. A living planet. He called it a living planet, because it was suitable for inhabiting, like Elanthia. There were several small planets near Elanthia, but they were the homes of the immortals. He was hoping that would satisfy me, but it did not. I had never before seen such a thing, and such a discovery was astounding. Kssarh wanted this kept secret, as this would have uncertain affects should it become public knowledge.::

<Kaeden is now seen disappearing as Kssarh casts a horribly difficult spell.> ::When I continued to bring it up, Kssarh mentioned that if I was so interested in this discovery, that I should go and investigate it myself. He seemed reluctant to send me when I agreed, but I knew he also must be curious. But, he could not leave his duties as a guildmaster. Kssarh had brought this matter up with the elders of the Moon Mage guild before, and said that I could go. So Kssarh used the limit of his strength to bring me to this planet, and I wandered it for quite a while... Until I happened apon an Observatory... And now here I am.::

<Kaeden's body can no longer survive under such circumstances, and he passes away.... But his dark sleep is short lived, as he finds himself seemingly awake again, surrounded by darkness. He is still drifting through nothingness, but he feels no pain now. But what this is finally comes to him as he sees a rotting figure floating towards him. A horrible stench rises from it's dead flesh. It slowly advances towards Kaeden, reaching it's brown-green bony hand towards him. But a voice calls to him, and he stops.>
?: ''Hold, Urrem'Tier. I have an offer for Kaeden...'' <The rotting figure turns to face the left, before stepping back.>
Urrem'Tier: ''Make it quick, Damaris...'' <Something could barely be seen moving. It was as dark as the void surrounding Kaeden, excluding a few silver streaks in it's short black hair.>

I look down at the Dark Solar Mage camp in chaos. I circle high above on the back of the dragon with Petra in front of me. I sense the dragons unease. I stare at a large shape-less void pulling the last lives it can into itself. I see death everywhere.

Wolfgang: ''What should we do?''

Petra: ''We could go in closer, but I doubt the dragon would like that.''

::.What do I do?.::

The dark energy Icefall had been following holds a positions a few yards ahead of her. Along with the foul presence are a few others, their energy teetering between life and death. Icefall recognizes the energy pattern of one of the beings to be Kaeden. She fights hard not to run to see if he is ok. The dark presence she had been following seems to slowly be gaining power, growing in size and strength.

The energy of that being is what is keeping the rift open. As long as it gains power, the rip will continue to grow in size.

Icefall tries to call out to Kaeden by mindspeech, even though she can't see him from this distance.

Odin sits atop his large throne in Valhalla. Waiting for news. At the end of each day, Odin's two raven messengers, Thoughts and Memories would return from Midgar to tell Odin any news.

Odin sat quietly. His mind, deep in thoughts. The All Knowing god thought about the past. When he first took the weakened Truxiuse under his care. Now, aeons later, Truxiuse plans on controlling the world. Truxiuse hs always been a nuisnace to the Aesir gods as Loki. Now, he has gone too far....

Odin's thoughts were interuppted by the flutterings of the two ravens. Each landed on Odin's shoulder, whispering their news to his ears.

Odin: ''................... What?! Valkyrie is unconsious? What happened? They're at The Kingdom of Transall?! But that's Valkyrie's...... No......''

The ravens continued.

Odin: ''.................?! A rift?! Where? The Dark Solar Mages? Damn, Truxiuse is attempting to enter this dimension! But he's still weak.... Angel must stop him!''

(OOC: Hope you don't mind me tying the rift to my story. This will probably be my last post here. Damn school is killing me. When this RPG is over, I'll create another one. Any suggestions for a title?)
