Jered eventually reaches the fire pit and looks at the few people hanging around the area. Jered: ''I take it that you are some of those that came through the barrier on your own? No matter. I'm going through the camp to tell everyone that the barrier will be taken down by decision of the council.''

The tired ninja rests on a small boulder. It has been about two hours since he left his village to look for his brother, Shinji. The assassin looks up at the sky. The sky... It used to be what he see's everynight. He'd wander the land and find places to sleep. But usually, he sleeps in the outdoors. He prefers the open outdoors rather than be confined in a building. The lone ninja shifts his attention to a nearby Cherry Blossom tree. The Sakura tree... I remember.. His mind wanders once again. (5 years ago.) It is early spring. The Sakura trees has blossomed, signifying the end of winter and the beginning of spring. During this time, people celebrate ''Hanami.'' The festival of flower viewing. Locals would come and have picnics under the blossoming Sakuras and admire it's beauty and significant. One couple is doing just that. Beatiful young girl: Oh, aren't the Sakuras beautiful, Shiro-san? Shiro: Yes, they are! But not as beautiful as you, my love. Please, Midori, skip the formalities, just call me Shiro. Midori: I can't just ignore the facts that you're the prince of this village! I have to be formal. It's the rule. Shiro: Oh, stop that. You know how I hate that word! Shiro hated the word, ''rule.'' It means restriction. Confinement. He hated the rules of royalty. Midori: I know. But, rules are there to established order. Shiro: I know. But according to the ''rules,'' I'm not supposed to see you. You're the only one that keeps my life in order. Not some silly rule! Midori: (Blushed.) Yes. I'm a peasant. Our interactions are forbidden. Shiro leaned over to kiss Midori. She pulled away. Midori: Stop it! You know public display of affection is taboo! Especially between royalty and peasants! Shiro leaned back against the sakura tree. He was frustrated. All these stupid rules! He thought. What good do they do? They restrict peoples' lives. Not allowing them to be free! Tetsuo is so lucky! He's free. Free of the chains of rules. Midori: You're thinking about Tetsuo, aren't you? Shiro: You know me too well. You're one of the few people who understands me. Midori: You know Tetsou is a vagabound. A ronin. He may be free, but because of that, he has no one to love. All he does is wander the world. Shiro: What's the point of having someone to love, if you can't show it? Shiro gazed into Midori's eyes. Those innocent eyes... He fell in love with her since she first started training with Sensei Genkaku. She was so beautiful and soft spoken. Midori was attracted to Shiro's passionate spirit. Nobody knew of their forbidden love... Midori:... Come! We'll be late for today's training. Sensei Genkaku will be furious if we're late! (Today.) The ninja began to focus on his objective. He still has to look for his brother... He nears the camp...

The stealth assasin continues to search for his brother. As he approached the campsite, he hears voices. Voices? Is it Shinji? He wondered. He moves toward the voices. His ever so careful movement prevents anybody from noticing him. The ninja's silent movement made him appear as though he was a silent phantom, shifting through the darkness of the forest. Who are these people? The ninja leaps into a tree to get a better view. He scans the campsite. All is quite. Tired, he decided to rest a little. Besides, he wanted to wait to see what kind of people were inside the camp. While he waited, the ninja began to reflect on his life... (4 years ago.) The village is under attack by foreigners. The village is in chaos. Many of the village's warriors are fighting off the enemy. Shiro and Genkaku was among them. Genkaku: What do want with our village? Foreign Warrior #1: None of your business! Foreign Warrior #2: You will learn to fear the wrath of the Dark Solar Mage! The Foreign warriors commence to attack Genkaku. But they were no match for him. Genkaku swiftly avoided their attack and retaliated with multiple slashes with his blade. Just then, 6 more Foreign warriors appeared. Genkaku: I'm getting to old for this! Prepare to die! Genkaku hold his blade in hand. He dashes toward the group of enemy. As he makes his way through them, he slashes his blade, killing them. All before a blink of an eye. Shiro arrives and assisted Genkaku as more Foreign warriors arrive. Shiro's skill in combat has dramatically improved. Genkaku: You're late! Shiro: Forgive me, Sensei. I had to fight some of the enemy on my way here. Genkaku: Forget it. Let's show these gaijins not to mess with the village of Rokkaku! The two fought and killed all the of the warriors. Shiro and Genkaku were a great team. Eliminating any enemies. Genkaku: Shiro-kun, where is Midori? Shiro: I...I don't know, Sensei. Genkaku: WHAT?! You fool! Look for her! Shiro: B-but-- Genkaku: Don't disobey me, boy ! I'll be fine! Go look for her! Protect her! I know you love her! GO! Shiro was shocked that Genkaku knew he loved Midori. Does anyone else know? (Continued from my previous post.) Shiro: Yes, Sensei. Shiro quickly jumped on a nearby rooftop and searched for Midori. As he searched, he jumped from rooftop to rooftop. As he moves away from the battle field, he heard a scream coming from a small hut. Shiro: Midori? MIDORI! Shiro quickly jumped down from the roof and ran toward the hut. I'll protect you Midori! Hold on! Shiro enters the hut. To his horror, Tetsuo, the man he admired, was raping Midori! Shiro: TETSUO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?! Shiro pulled Tetsuo away from Midori and throw him to the ground. Shiro: WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!? Tetsuo: Just having fun with that whore! Shiro: You BASTARD! Shiro picked up Tetsuo and threw him against the wall. Tetsou: Why are you so suprised? You knew she was a whore! A peasant seeing a royalty. You used her as your concubine! Shiro: Shut up! How dare you rape her?! Tetsuo: Hey, I can do whatever I want! I'm not bound by rules or laws! I needed some lovin' and Midori was so cute! Shiro: Grrr... I'LL KILL YOU! Shiro beats Tetsuo to the ground. Tetsuo managed to get up and unsheaths his sword. Tetsuo: Come on! Why don't you try! Shiro unsheaths his sword and charged toward Tetsuo. Tetsuo sidestepped and swipe his sword, cutting Shiro's right arm. Tetsuo: ( Laughs) You're pathetic! A spoiled brat! I won't waste my time on you! Tetsuo escapes leaving Shiro wounded. Shiro gets up and ran toward Midori, who was crying and shaking. Shiro grabed a blanket and covered her naked and violated body. Shiro: Are you all right Midori? Did he hurt you? Midori: Oh, Shiro! Thank god you came! I was so scared! I was helping a soldier when Tetsuo grabed me and dragged me here! He threw me on the bed and he ripped my clothes off! I begged him to stop, but then he slaped me and he-- he--raped me! Midori broke down into tears and cried. Shiro hugged her and tried to comfort her. Damn! I couldn't even protected her! I was too late! Why didn't I listened to Sensei and leaved sooner? Sensei! I hope he's all right... Shiro: It's ok, Midori. It's all over now. But deep down he knew it wasn't ok. He had to avenge her. He had to hunt down Tetsuo for what he did. (1 week later.) Midori is recovering and so is the village. There were many casualties. One of them was Genkaku... A cremation ceremony was being held to honor those who died. Man: Shiro-san, I'm deeply sorry for the lost of Genkaku. I was there when he died. He fought well. His dying wish was for you to have his blade. The man handed Shiro Genkaku's blade. Then bowed and left. Sensei... I couldn't even protect Sensei... And Midori.... How am I supposed to protect the village as prince, if can't even protect two people? Shiro thought. After much consideration, he decided to leave the village. He couldn't protect them, so what's the point? His brother Shinji will do a better job. Shiro waited till night fall and takes his ninja gears. He had one last look at Midori, who's sleeping.... Shiro: Midori... I failed you. I failed everybody. I don't deserve to be here. But I promise you, I'll find Tetsuo and whoever killed Sensei and I wiil kill them! Shiro grabed Genkaku's blade and left the village... (Today) That was four years ago... Shiro is still perched up on a tree watching the campsite. His mind racing. But a noise caught his attention. He looked over and saw people moving some body. As he got a closer look, he saw Shinji! Dead. A huge wound on his chest and a gash on his head. Shiro: Shinji! What have they done to you? Filled with rage, Shiro pulled out his blade, the one he recieved from Genkaku, and ran toward the camp... He unknowingly tripped the camp's silent alarm...

(the council is going to take down the barrier and put in the silent alarms. they havent yet though because Jered isnt done telling the camp about it. the barrier still stands) After Jered finishes telling the people near the fire pit, he makes his way back through the camp to where the council's tent is.
