(OOC: Y'know, California ain't all that. I lived there for about 7 years, and it's all right. Too much polluttion. Also, California looked butt-ugly from the sky! It's all brown, dense. Despite having the most people, it looks lifeless. Over Minnesota, It's green, full of life. The cities doesn't overcrowd each other. I like Minnesota.

Yo Icefall, since you live in ''Misery,'' What's it like? Why do you dislike Missouri? Would you recommend me living there? This is a very important desicion for me, and I would appreciate your input.)
From: Icefall | Posted: 8/24/00 9:49:19 PM
(i just have personal reasons for not liking it here. ive moved around a lot in my life and nebraska was the longest i have lived in any one place (over 7yrs).)

The council spends the next few hours discussing ideas of what to do with their given information.

Jered: ''A suprize attack could work for us. I think we should.''

Raen: ''Can we trust someone who freely admits to aiding the dark ones? How can we be sure that the camp is even where this man claims it is?''

Teferi: ''We can send out a scout, but anymore losses to our group will not be good.''

Nalyr can scout for us.

Icefall is back in the tent.

Ashmere: ''Are you sure, Icefall? Is he up to that?''

He volunteered. He suggested the idea.

Teferi: ''But snow owls are not common to this region. If he is spotted, it could be trouble.''

Both he and I know that. I know Nalyr to be cautious though. He won't let himself get caught. I'll stay in contact with him too so if something should go wrong, we'll know what happened.

Icefall pulls back the tent flap a little, showing the dying sunlight.

Does the council approve of this plan? If so, we'll start immediately.

Teferi nods his head.

Teferi: ''I think that this is a good plan and this way we are not short anyone.''

Okay then. Nalyr is off.

Icefall looks out of the tent at Nalyr, who is circling overhead. She sends him word of the council's approval and then watches him take off into the northern distance. Icefall then reenters the tent and takes a seat in an empty chair. She goes into a light trance to keep in contact with her bonded, but she is also aware of her surroundings in the tent.

Leon realizes that it is almost time for hte plan to unfold. He opens his mouth as if to speak but nothing comes out. He stutters a little and procedes to talk.

''Forget it Dranick....I was just...I think I'm going to go out for a walk and scout around.''

Leon turns away and runs at a moderate pace towards the southern exit of the camp. He looks over towards the meeting place and makes a sprint for it. 2 miles north of the Star Mage camp, 1 mile south of the Dark Solar Mage camp. He runs as fast as he can...then stops for a moment to think.....He left a communication scroll back leaned inside the tent where Kaeden is being held near where Dranick is.

''Maybe...just maybe....I can hold true the destiny of the Dark Mage....and also....''

The apprentice Dark Solar Mage makes a run towards the meeting place and tranfers his thoughts to the scroll making it glow.<?i>

(OOC: I'm posting this from the fair! I managed to gain access to a laptop. But no one knows... Shhhh...)

Shiro and Midori left the village in search of Icefall.

Midori: Shiro, who is this person, Icefall?
Shiro: Someone I encountered recently. She seems to know the Dark Solar Mages well.
Midori: What would Tetsuo want with Icefall?
Shiro: I don't know. Her group seems to be rivals of the Dark Solar Mages.
Midori: So she's on our side?
Shiro: I don't know. Come on, we're almost there!

They worked their way through the thick forest. Eventually, they could see the campsite...

(All right, gotta go. Time for work!)

Through Nalyr's eyes, Icefall watches as he begins to near the area mentioned in Gerrard's message. Even in the fading light, she can make out the sharp details of the surroundings due to Nalyr's night vision. Icefall breaks contact for a moment to speak to the council.

He's nearing the area, but I dont see any signs of life out there yet. No smoke of campfires or recently marked trails.

Once done reporting, Icefall resumes watching the passing landscape through Nalyr's eyes.

Leon soon reaches the meeting place. He takes a seat on a nearby rock and stretch a bit after that run. After a little yawn. He stands up and leans against a tree and keeps an eye out for any approaching auras.

''Hmmm...''

He looks across from the tree he's leaning on to a larger tree. He runs over to it and looks up. Leon then grabs hold of it, finds a good step, and proceeds to climb up the tree.

Around the Solar Mage camp, wolf howls can be heard for miles. After leaving the camp earlier, he prowled around the camp to see if any one would venture out, but no one did.

Wolfgang: When will these interlopers leave? They do not belong here. I must call in my brethren.

Wolfgang sends out a silent call to the other Monks of Albeado to come to his aid.

Wolf, I ever tell you that you control too much?
No, I'm not the controlling type. Hey, stop that!
From: Leon of the Destiny | Posted: 8/25/00 5:47:37 PM
Perched up upon a tree, Leon surveys the surrounding land and can see a vagues silhouette of an owl.

''Strange, is that a winter...a winter owl? Hmmm...''

Then a howl is heard coming for hte direction of the camp. A drop of sweat comes from Leon's forehead as he hears this while he awaits the arrival of the Solar Mages. But that howl....a wolf? No....A rabid jungle man? Heh...nah. This Dark Solar Mage knew what it was.....He clenched his double bladed staved closely by his side.

Nalyr begins to circle the area where Gerrard said to be, but only sees a mass of trees. Icefall was about to tell the council this when Jihn bursts into the tent.

Teferi: ''Whats wrong, Jihn?''

Jihn: ''Some creature of wolf-like appearance attacked the camp. He wounded a few men and then left. The healers and myself were able to save all but a few men.''

Raen: ''Our numbers continue to dwindle. We are not safe here. None of us even noticed the alarms set off.''

Jered: ''We are at a stalemate right now. If we move, we might be attacked. If we stay, we could be attacked again.''

By staying here, we are only allowing the dark ones to gather strength. By the way, no one is at the meeting area Gerrard mentioned. Nalyr will check the trees shortly though since there seem to be a few in that area.

Ashmere: ''We can not win in any battles right now with the dark ones. not with our numbers so low.''

With such negative talk, the dark ones should just be declared winners already then. We may be fewer in numbers with the confused journeymen and these random attacks, but strength in skill and thought are just as important if not more so than numbers. I know we can stop the dark ones. Its just a matter of waiting for the right time to attack and having a good strategy. The council was set up with some of the most able minds of the star and light solar sects, correct? Everyone in this camp believes in each other and the council. You shouldn't let them all down now with talk of defeat.

Raen: ''Icefall, we don't even have the full council here.''

So? At least you have the majority of it. Four out of seven members. Where are they anyways? Did you all split up during the journeyman scare?

Teferi: ''Um, Icefall? They died.''

Why didnt you tell me that sooner?!

Jered: ''During the journeyman panic, Laem, Juole, and Mish stayed back to help the rest of us escape before the mad men injured more of their own side. Since we haven't heard from them since, either they have all died, or were taken captive. Knowing the chaos then, we think it was more likely the former than the latter.''

I see. Still, the council shouldn't give up yet. I believe that you can still make proper desicions and im sure the rest of camp feels the same. I'm sorry, please excuse me, Nalyr wants to communicate.

Teferi nods and Icefall resumes her trance while communicating with her bonded. While in the trance, she doesn't hear what the rest of the camp hears, a chilling howl which lingers in the air.
