Soon Icefall and Nalyr find themselves outside a small forest. From Nalyr's scouting overhead, the camp they had seen previously is beyond this area. Only a thick mass of trees now lays before them and the camp. Slowly the two proceed to make their way into the forest. The most noticable difference once inside is the lack of light as the tall trees block the direct light.

(OOC: *SAM is seen chipping away the gigantic writers' block.* Damn. I've been typing so much for creative Writing... I think I'm developing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome... I would post often, but like I said, most of my writing time is preoccupied by class. I just finished a ''Trio-tale, which I ended up doing the most work. Now, I gotta write a ghost story. Icefall stumbles and works her way throught the forest. Thick trees and big bushes reach out at her, getting tangled in her hair and pulling at her cloak, making it hard for her to proceed through the area. While stopping to free her cloak from a bush, Icefall hears a rustling sound and a low shadow moves just out of her vision. Nalyr gives a sharp hoot from a perch up in one of the trees. A wolf you say? She looks towards where the shadow had moved but can't see any movement in that direction now. I looks like it was going in the same direction we are headed, Nalyr. I just hope that wasn't a bonded of the dark ones. We haven't seen much of them up here, which worries me a litle. They seemed to be all over the area near our camp. Icefall finally tugs her cloak free and continues on her way. Nalyr flies along with her.

<Kaeden had moved to a new position. Now he can clearly see Dranick encompassed by the Dark Solar Mages. But he can feel a gigantic disturbance in the mana of the surrounding area. His body suddenly ignites with black flames, which grow to the point that only his head and hands can be clearly seen. Then the mana he gathered explodes, the energy of the completion of the spell immense. The shock wave sends the Dark Solar Mages, Zadorin, and Kaeden flying away from Dranick.>

<As the energy clears, Dranick can now be seen again. He lies on the ground, breathing heavily. His entire body is bleeding from the energy he used. His legs look as though they are nearly torn off, and his arms clearly are broken. His body twitches uncontrollably. He seems to be clinging on to the last thread of life left in him. And a voice familiar to him begins to echo through his mind...> ::You fool... Did you truly think that you were able to use that spell on your own power? You seem to have forgotten that it was I, Damaris, that was the source of your strength. I shall preserve you so that you may fully experience the pains of the void... Aldauth shall enjoy watching your final moments. Kaeden also will be going with you.... But I shall stop him on his way to give him my offer. Yet should he accept, his circumstances will be different from yours. He shall not be given will to be able to rebel as you have. Goodbye, Dranick...:: <Above Dranick, there was a tiny black dot.... Yet it was not magical. It was emptiness. And it was growing. Marble sized. A breeze began to stir, as air was drawn towards it. As it continues it's growth, the wind blows by faster and harder. It began to tug on heavier objects, trying to pull them in...>

Dissius keeps walking and begins struggling with the dark It seems like a never ending night here...Girthang would you mind if you could use your light. Dissius draws Girthang Girthang: Fine, I will. Girthang shines brightly illuminating the area around Dissius for about 3 feet We must catch up with her, these mages could be near, althougth I don't feel their influence. Dissius begins to run and soon it becomes easy to see Icefall making her way through the woods. Ah, woods I'll be able to travel a little quicker here. Dissius climbs the nearest tree and jumps to the next and to the next before jumping to the ground We must do our best from here. Icefall isn't too far ahead now.
