Ashmere's chant slowly begins to dwindle as she concentrates more on syphoning the energy sent to her and redirecting it to Teferi. Every Star and Light Solar mage do their best to collect and send energy to the two Star councilmen while continuing to battle their enemy.

Deeply engrossed in constructing the spell of Lost Light, Teferi carefully weaves each thread of energy sent to him. Teferi takes precise consideration in the placement of each line of collected mana, ensuring a strong and powerful spell.

While guarding the Star mages from any foolish attackers, Jered notices a small glimmer of light from the black sun.

Jered: Wha...? Did I just see what I think I saw?

A little more of the sun light sparkles around the dark edges.

Jered: Raen! Did you just see what I saw?!

Raen turns to look at Jered.

Raen: See what?

Jered: The light still lives! Look at the sun!

Slowly, more and more of the darkness fades away to reveal the sun's true light.

Raen: Their spell is losing hold! This means...

Jered: ...We don't have to cast Lost Light! We have to stop Teferi and Ashmere!

The two Light Solar mages look at their friends, Teferi deep in concentration with Ashmere aiding him. Raen attempts to shake Teferi, but he gives no response. Standing closest to Ashmere, Jered lightly shakes Ashmere and calls to her.

Jered: Ashmere! Ashmere! Stop the spell! The sun is regaining its light!

Slowly, Ashmere opens her eyes to look at Jered while continuing to direct energy. She looks slightly upset with the man.

Ashmere: Jered! You know that interrupting a spell like this could kill us all! What are you talking about?

Jered points up at the sun as it brightens.

Jered: You two have to cancel Lost Light! They appear to have lost hold on the sun, so our spell would only hurt ourselves if it is cast.

Ashmere: Indeed so, but how to stop Teferi? He's well into the spell by now.

Raen: Isn't there any way to contact him? You have to stop him!

Ashmere: I have one idea. I just hope it works. Keep an eye on things, ok guys?

The two solar mages of light nod their heads as Ashmere resumes her concentration of feeding Teferi energy. As she syphons her collection to the adept, she sends it in irregular bursts.

Weaving the spell, Teferi suddenly recieves a random amount of energy. He struggles to even it out and add it to the spell. A second thread of energy rushes towards Teferi just as he sets the first in place. As the Star mage begins to handle the new energy, a third and a fourth burst run at him. Slowly, Teferi begins to notice a rhythm to the energy as it is sent, some long, some short, all indicating speed and hurry. While in concentration of the spell, Teferi starts to decipher the code.

Teferi: A morse code? 'The sun shines, end LL'. Thank the stars, please let it be true...

Teferi quickly unweaves the spell, careful to still keep hold of the energy in case the message was wrong. He picks Lost Light apart thread by thread, making sure not to accidentally set off any of the fail safes he had set for if one of the dark mages had tried to undo the spell. Teferi opens his eyes as the warm sunlight hits his face.

Ashmere opens her eyes once again and turns to Teferi.

Ashmere: I'm so glad you caught on. I was worried about sending such chaotic energy to you.

Teferi: At first I thought you had gone insane. Thank the stars we don't have to call upon Lost Light.

Suddenly, Zadorin falls from his spot in the sky as the sun regains all of its light. The council stares at the high leader of the Dark Solar mages as he falls down upon the dark ones beneath him. The sound of his bones snapping on impact make the group wince. Screams of terror fill the air, radiating from the circle of dark mages surrounding Zadorin as they all begin to scatter away from their leader, giving the council a clear view of what had frightened them. Ashmere puts a shaking hand up to her mouth.

Ashmere: H-he's still moving...

As a group, the council slowly begins to back away from Zadorin's twitching figure on the ground.

Teferi: Look at his eyes. The dark energy in him has no where to go. We have to get everyone out of here!

They start to speed up their steps away from the figure as Ashmere calls to the remaining mages out on the battle field. Using magic to amplify her voice, she doesn't bother with keeping the alarm to only the Star and Light Solar mages.

Ashmere: The leader of the dark ones has fallen! The darkness within him is about to be let loose! Run! Run!

The former camp and battle ground quickly becomes chaos as men and women flee in every direction. Standing on a hill not too far away, the council watches the evacuation.

Teferi: This is no good. No one is going to be able to outrun the radius of the damage once the dark energy is released. I'm guessing that the radius will destroy all of this mountain, if not more. We are all doomed.

Raen: There has to be something we can do!

Ashmere: Can't we diffuse some of the effects and reduce the amount of damage? I still have the energy collected from Lost Light. How about you, Teferi?

Teferi: I still have all of mine too, but I don't think I can hold on to it too much longer. Its becoming restless and wants to be released into the earth or cast into a spell.

Jered: What about a dome? That would work in constricting how far the dark energy would go.

Teferi: We don't have enough time to come up with other options. It will have to work. Ashmere, get ready to send me your energy. You two, get as far away as possible in case something goes wrong.

Jered: I'm not leaving the council at a time like this.

Raen: Neither am I.

Teferi: Ok, then lend us all the energy you can muster.

With that, Teferi begins to reweave his collection of energy into a new spell, casting a dome of light over the camp area and beyond. A huge dome shimmers into reality over the mountain terrain of the camp, all the way out to where the council stands on their hill. Teferi watches the lines of energy in his control as they glow iridescent in every color imaginable. The rest of the council slowly feeds their gathered energy to Teferi, giving the spell more strength and substance. As more lines of mana are added, the dome begins to shrink in size, with Zadorin at the center of it all. Keeping the spell stable, Teferi lets the warm, bright, and transparent dome come to a stop around the destroyed camp and continues to strengthen it with the collections of energy amassed by Ashmere, Jered, and Raen.

Teferi: All we can do now is wait and pray that the stars and sun will protect us...
