Zadorin's spell progressively makes its way through Teferi's mind. Searching through the adept Star mage's thoughts and memories, it eventually latches onto a past event.

The dark cylinder fades, leaving Teferi sitting at a desk in his tent. A warm breeze passes through the open tent, carrying with it the sweet scent of a field of dyssian wildflowers nearby the camp. How the native flowers of the continent of Disa has appeared on Rian was debated by a number of scientists. There were many theories, but no definitive answers had yet been found.

The camp, set in a valley not too far from the mountains, was filled with Star and Light Solar mages. They had recently set up camp after a minor attack at their last camp farther east.

Although they had won in the Great Solar Split, it still haunted them. Dark Solar mages kept popping up here and there, attacking with little organization and taking out anyone they could before running off to hide again.

Teferi is at his desk, studying one of the books he had collected during his travels and had planned to give to Icefall the next time he saw her. As he read, a figure stood by the open tent flap, blocking some of the sunlight. Teferi turns to the figure and welcomes him inside.

Teferi: 'Kiven, what's troubling you?'

Kiven: 'Adept Teferi, I have a headache.'

Teferi gives Kiven a funny look.

Teferi: 'Well, isn't that something you should take to Jhin or one of the other healers?'

Kiven: 'I did, but none of their medicines worked.'

Teferi studies Kiven's face, noting a pained look in the young man's eyes.

Teferi: 'Did they try everything? That is odd.'

Kiven: 'Yeah, they did. That's not the odd thing though.'

Teferi: 'It isn't? Then what is?'

The elder mage gives his student a quizzical look.

Kiven: 'At the healing tents, I saw lots of other journeymen, like myself, all with headaches.'

Teferi frowns a little bit.

Teferi: 'All of them had headaches?'

Kiven: 'Yeah. I talked to a few of the people in there and they said it started last night sometime but the pain was so minor that they didn't pay much thought to it. Now though, their headaches are much worse.'

Teferi: 'And you?'

Kiven: 'Mine started late this morning and its been progressively getting worse.'

Teferi: 'What levels were those you talk to at?'

Kiven: 'Oh, I'd say second or third level journeymen.'

Teferi: 'And only the journeymen have the headaches?'

Kiven: 'Yes, sir.'

Teferi's frown deepens as he thinks. He mutters to himself '...and you are at level five, almost 6...this isn't good...'

(Yes! Icefall has found an event to use. This RPG should finally be wrapping up soon.)

It's frustrating when you know all the answers, and nobody bothers to ask you the questions.

(OOC: If you guys remembered, I said I managed to save a good chunk of IO II. Well, I posted it at my site. When Gaw looked at it, he pointed out that I edited out a lot of important posts. (I swear I only edited out mostly boots and OOCs. Probably wasn't paying attention, and highlighted some good stuff. Anyway, Gaw was disp;leased, so I said I'll try to go through my cache to save all of the posts. Only to find out that my cache only go as far as Dec. 16, 2000, one day short of my last attempt of salvaging IO II. My question is, does any of you kept a transcript of IO II? If so, send it to me in HTML format, and I'll post it at my site. Thank you.)
