Leon approaches the onslaught of battle gradually slowing into a walk. However, the emotion has been removed and he walks only in a trance. Dark Solar Mage: ''Traitor!'' A novice talk solar mage charges upon Leon full of anger. Apparently, he had idolized the disillusioned leader who had now perished. The illusionist reacted with hitting the young man in the rib with the stave sending the mage to the ground. It was then the novice mage attempted to back off, however in apparent vain. Leon quickly took steps forward and jabbed the blade of the stave in the man's chest two times, each making a grosteque sound. ''What circumstances have lead to such an battle with such clouded motives?'' Interuppted in thought by battle, two solar mages approached Leon who quickly returned himself into a defensive battle stance with the stave held forward. He awaited for their move.....Then they charge at him to which Leon retalliated by bringing his hand up and quickly conjuring up a wall of fire. The two mages stopped dead intheir tracks and backed off. The dark illusionist followed up by rushing through the fire and slashing one of the mage in the leg swiftly as he charged at them and pushed aside the other. The blade was brought down upon the downed mage to which Leon turned his attention to the other. His face was of a bemuddled emotion concerned with what has just transpired..... ''T'was an illusion, novice.'' Leon brought himself into offensive, thrusting the stave at the mage who backed up against a tent. He reacting by randomly swinging his short sword at Leon in an attempt to ward him off. Leon stepped back and waited for the right moment and...a silenced body sent to the cold ground quickly dissapeared into the gist of battle. He had been felled with one well placed thrust to the neck among the wild swings. --- The end of this advent is now.....Forever ends.....~Jaterra |

<The knife hits his right leg's magic ''armor'' at an angle, so it is quite easily deflected. However, the magic ball, while doing negligible harm, does manage to divert his attention from Raen. He stops, and glances at his attacker, to find three people preparing for if he attacks. Only a short distance from Raen, he turns to face her and speaks. Zadorin: ''I will settle this later.'' <He points his finger at her, and chants a short spell. A narrow black beam shoots from his fingertip, aimed to cut across her left cheek. He then turns to advance on Teferi, Jered, and Ashmere. From their outfit, he recognizes them to be leaders. He mutters another spell while heading for them. Another black sphere forms, but this one he holds in his hand. He throws it into the middle of the trio, and it explodes, sending scorching black rays in each direction within a small radius of the ''bomb''.> |

A sharp and biting sensation cuts at Raen's cheek just as she is able to dissolve the blinding spell on her eyes. Her hand quickly and gently touches her face, studying the long cut. Raen pulls back her fingers to see blood dripping from them. She turns to see the rest of the council not too far away, trying to dodge the attack sent by the man. Teferi watches as the Dark Solar mage throws the black energy at them. He shouts at the others to get back just as the sphere explodes into millions of black shards. Most of the explosion is absorbed by their shields, but a number of pieces do pass through, cutting and slashing at the trio's skin and clothing, adding to their current minor injuries. Jered helps Ashmere to her feet as Teferi dusts himself off and faces their attacker. Teferi: Its been a long time, hasn't it, Xadorin? Jered: That's Xadorin?! But the histories said he was killed! Teferi addresses Jered briefly. Teferi: Historians create their own truths and it is up to us to decide if their truth is correct. I knew he didnt die during the first Solar Mage Wars. But what kind of morale would our side have had with that knowledge? Only a few others beside myself, mostly Star mages, knew the real truth. Teferi turns back to Xadorin. He tries to keep his voice even but anger slowly crawls in. Teferi: Tell me, Xadorin, before we fight, what was the point of sending that spy of yours, Gerrard or Leon, whatever his name was? What kind of trap did you have awaiting us if we had actually followed him? One of our Star mages, Icefall, left to see what was going on and we haven't seen her since. What did you do to her?! |

Zadorin: ''My... Is that you, Teferi? I have not seen you since you drove us out for seeking power. But things are far different now... You can not imagine what we are capable of.'' <Zadorin begins to ponder a moment as Teferi asks him questions regarding Leon and Icefall. Ideas begin to form in his head as to how to answer...> Zadorin: ''Icefall? I think I heard that name from someone we very recently captured and tortured. I had gotten all the information I would need for an assault from her, so I ended her miserable existence. <Zadorin smirks.> As for Leon... Leon was the apprentice of Dranick. I doubt you have heard of him, he was surprisingly new for having had such a high position. But he had to be taken care of as well, for having motives outside of the benifit of his followers. But you can ask him all you want about Leon when I send you after him. Now that I have answered all your questions, I will show you all that you could have learned if you had only not been so stubborn...'' <Zadorin lifts his hand to the sky as he prepares another spell. A black beam shoots up in the sky for a small distance, but then splits apart, each part slowly curving down as they go their way, forming a dome over Zadorin, Teferi, Jered, and Ashmere, with a radius of about 8 feet.> Zadorin: ''Oh yes... The wall is rather hot to the touch, so try not to slam into it when I hit you, hmm?'' ::That should have angered them each enough to cloud their minds.:: <Zadorin starts off by sending a force wall, large enough to push against each of them.> |

Teferi gives Xadorin a sharp glare after hearing what had happened to Icefall. Teferi: I don't believe for one second that she would have let loose any information, no matter what kind of torture you put her through. I taught Icefall myself and know she'd never give information to your kind. Teferi watches as the dome of dark energy comes over the four of them. The council within the dome plant their feet on the ground against the force wall sent at them. The spell slowly pushes them backwards towards the dome. Ashmere puts her hands up against the wall as they take on a faint glow. Teferi follows suit. the two begin to push on the wall as the light begins to grow and spread across it. The movement of the wall begins to slow, but still pushes on them as they get closer to the dome's edge. The three can feel the dark heat of the dome, just inches away from themselves. The Star mages throw more effort into buffering the force wall, pouring energy into the spell. From outside the dome, Raen picks up her deflected dagger and runs off into the sea of people fighting, moving northward and keeping low. As the wall inches the council towards the dome, Jered calls up his own spell. A large sphere of light in his hand flattens itself into a discus shape, which he tosses upwards at the top of the dome. Sparks dance and fall downwards inside the dome as a few tendrils of light weave themselves along the darkness. The light begins to contract, trying to crack the dark cage. The force wall continues to push the trio closer towards the dark cage. Ashmere gives a startled shout as her heel touches the cage. the heat burns through her shoe and scars the skin of her foot. Teferi and Ashmere strain against the force wall as the light of their combined spell fully covers the barrier, making it stop. With their own force wall buffering Xadorin's, they begin to push Xadorin's wall back towards himself. Through gritted teeth as he pushes, Teferi addresses Xadorin again. Teferi: Care to explain why your men looked tired and worn before even comming here to fight us? Some of our scouts reported that a few of your men were even limping. Who else is your enemy? |
